Eric J McClain, CFPTSM
Eric J. McClain, CFP®
joined Wesban in August 2009 as a Financial Advisor and will provide
comprehensive unbiased advice for new and existing clients.
Eric has over 8 years
of financial experience from the banking and fee-only financial
planning/investment industries. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama's
financial planning program and a Certified Financial Planner(TM) and Registered
Financial Advisor with the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.
He is passionate about Fee-only financial planning and in 2007 he completed the
rigorous FPA Residency Program which focuses on client-centered training using
comprehensive and detailed case studies. Eric previously served as Public
Relations director for the North Alabama chapter of the Financial Planning
Association. During his tenure, he was interviewed by Fox 6 and CBS 42 on
topics such as the economy, investments, and retirement planning. He wrote part
of a training workshop called "Fiscally Fit" which is still used for Pathway's,
a local Women's shelter.
On a personal note,
Eric is married to Bridget McClain (formerly Stacey) of Hueytown, Alabama.
Bridget is a freelance Court Reporter and small business owner. Eric and
Bridget have two wonderful little girls, Riley Kate McClain who is 3 years old
and her little sister, Phoebe Ellen McClain who turns one in August. They reside
in the Cahaba Heights community just over the hill from the Summit.
